Mummy was pretending to sleep this morning so I covered her up with a blanket. We pretended I was the mummy and she was the little girl. I went and found her some imaginary story books (including several trips to the shops as I was 'all out of books'). Here is a couple of my stories I made up all by myself.
Ghost: There was a ghost. It went wooo. It scared girl, ran away to nannys. Nanny said go away ghost. Nanny said hello. Girl happy now.
Bear: Baby bear not like breakfast. Baby bear cried. Baby bear ate mummy breakfast, all happy now. (when asked what about mummy... baby bear swapped round, mummy bear ate mummy breakfast too)
I've also been having lots of strange and interesting conversations with mummy recently and am really liking asking questions. Some of our recent topics I've initiated have included underarm hair and how i'll have some too when im big big bigger, why daddys dont make breast milk (im very clever and told mummy it was because he doesnt have a bra) and dead lions (there was a big stuffed one at the zoo and I asked her if it was 'dead?' and then announced to grandma that it was a 'dead lion' - it wasnt a word mummy knew I knew).

Mummy post: Weird is good!
I've been subscribed to the daily groove for some time now (thanks Laura) and yesterdays post really made me smile:
'Our culture is full of contradictions. For example,
it's good to be unique and original, but it's not good
to go too far off the beaten path... "Don't be *weird*!"
But aren't uniqueness and originality weird by
definition?
So let's settle this once and for all: It's *good* to
be weird! In fact, the words *weird* and *worthy* have
the same root. (Really!)
If you subscribe to "The Daily Groove," you're
probably a weird parent. You don't *do* conventional
parenting, and you probably get strange looks from
parents who do. If you think they think you're weird,
it's because they do!
But only because YOU ARE! :-)
So get a piece of paper and write "Weird Things I Do"
along the top, then make a list... a LONG list.
When you're done, cross out "Weird Things I Do" and
change it to "Things I Appreciate About Myself!"
Now, whenever someone points out your weirdness, you
can proudly agree and accept the compliment: "Thanks!" :-) '
So I'm doing as I'm told, here is my list, and I am proud to say I'm weird!
Weird Things I do:
Still breastfeed
Carry charlie if she asks and my arms can take it
Still use cloth nappies at night
Think the following are perfectly suitable toys for toddlers: stones, shells, bits of tree, pine cones etc - and I strongly believe all kids should have access to these
I dislike plastic and noisey toys
I let Charlie stay up late if she tells me she isnt sleepy
I dont leave Charlie to cry - and doubt I ever would
I plan to home school
I feed charlie off proper plates with metal knives and forks and have since she was very young
likewise she often drinks out of a glass
I let charlie pour her own drinks, serve her own breakfast and help me cut veges
I let charlie stay in her pjs or nudey rudey for the vast majority of the time we are at home if she doesnt want to get dressed yet
I too am often not dressed before 11!
Appologise to charlie if I've done something wrong
Charlie is still allowed in our bed whenever she asks
I let Charlie play on the 'big kids' equipment in the park, even if it states not suitable for under 5s
I let charlie play with toys 'not suitable for under 4s' as I know she will love them (playmobil is a particular fave)
I dont let Charlie have many sweets or crisps and actively avoid aspartame, msg, colouring, etc
I feed charlie seeds as a snack

never baby proofed
I dont ever wear makeup
I prefer home made toys (made by me or others) over any other
love reading parenting books, but pick and choose what i agree with
hmm sure there is tonnes of others! not convinced everything up there is 'weird' and imagine there is plenty of weird things I do I havent listed (am finding it hard to define weird as what we do is just us! im aware some of the above often raises eyebrows among friends and family though!)- but I am proud to say I do things my way and not someone elses!

Some more art work
and a few more pics
Today Mummy had set up a little play scene for me to find when I woke up. Me and Mummy both love combining all the smaller bits and pieces together to make 'scenes'. This one has tree blocks, tree flakes, play silks, wooden animals, fimo animals, small pine cones, dolls house people and stones! I was very excited when I found it and it stayed set up for most of the morning

Afterwards I had lots of fun making a bits and pieces sun catcher to hang in our conservatory

I also did lots of building with my creatiles. They have been a house, a boat, hats, stepping stones and a birthday cake today

Me and Mummy played hairdressers. I had lots of fun brushing mummys hair and she put mine up in cute bunches

Mummy and me went to see a nice lady to find out more about mummy training to be a peer counsellor at the breastfeeding support clinics. Everyone commented on how beautifully well behaved I was and I loved watching the new babies having their Mummy milk. Mummy is very excited about doing the training (it probably wont be until next year) and also about meeting another full term breastfeeder as the lady had fed her child until they were 4.
By the end of the day I was very tired

Holiday pics - Sealife centre and pirate golf
For Mummys birthday we went to the sealife centre at weymouth

I went on a crocodile water ride with mummy - she got very wet!

Then I made her play in the water park with me and she got even wetter!

And I had lots of fun playing in the park

Then we went to play crazy pirate golf. I enjoyed this a lot until a pirate popped out of a barrel and scared me with his laughing!
